You can know the facts about a parachute.
But only when you strap it on and jump will it save you.

You’re in freefall.
Jesus already jumped first.
He is not merely a teacher, prophet, or moral example. Jesus is fully God and fully man—the eternal Son who stepped into history to rescue us.
Eternal God in human flesh
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” (John 1:1, 14)

Jesus took the full wrath of God for every sin—past, present, and future. “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

Death could not hold Him. “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.” (Romans 4:25)

This is the message that changes everything. It has been the same for 2,000 years.
God created us for relationship with Him
We were made in His image to know, love, and enjoy Him forever. (Genesis 1:26-27; 2:7)
Our sin separated us from God
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God… The wages of sin is death.” (Romans 3:23; 6:23)
Jesus paid the penalty in full
“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)
We must receive Him by faith alone
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
You’re 10,000 feet up. The engine just died. You can believe parachutes work. You can understand how they work. You can even admire the parachute.
But none of that saves you—until you strap it on and jump.
This is the difference between intellectual belief (even demons believe—James 2:19) and saving faith. Biblical faith is active trust: “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1)
Jesus invites you: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
Still in freefall. Not saved. (See James 2:19)
You jump. He catches you forever.
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” — Acts 16:31

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)
Right now, in this moment, you can turn from sin and trust Jesus completely. The Bible promises: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
A simple prayer of trust (say it from your heart):
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day. I turn from my sin and trust You alone as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for forgiving me and giving me eternal life. I am Yours forever. Amen.”
This is not a magic formula — it is a real conversation with the living God who loves you.
